Arrive and enjoy a seamless way to explore enchanting Tuscany and the Chianti Wine Region from the ideal central location of Il Borgo di Villa Bossi Pucci. Il Borgo, which means “the village” in Italian, is comprised of six former farm buildings which housed the farmers and their families and stored their precious harvests. This is where the grapes fermented and olives were pressed. It is the quintessential Tuscan home beautifully restored into fully equipped apartments accommodating one to five persons each with its own terrace or balcony, en suite baths, breakfast kitchen, and living room. All rooms are elegantly furnished with great care given to retaining the classic features of the original structures: the warm rich colors, open wood beamed ceilings, fireplaces, porticos, a bread and pizza oven in the gathering area ideal for small or large groups, all forming a beautiful village in perfect harmony with its surroundings.
From your home away from home at Il Borgo, you’ll enjoy our week long program known as Lessons of Tuscany. Daily sightseeing excursions take you to treasured cities such as Florence, Siena, Lucca and San Gimignano, as well as visits to fine Chianti Vineyards for tours and tastings. Each afternoon you return with plenty of time to relax in your spacious apartment out on the terrace, or take a swim in the pool, watching the sun set over the stunning landscape of grapevines, olive groves and distant castles. Later your driver returns to take you to one of our many favorite family-owned local restaurants where you’ll savor an authentic three-course Tuscan dinner including wine. Increase your cultural experience with optional classes in cooking, ceramic painting, Italian language, photography, watercolor, and wine production from this ideal spot in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

(A nominal fee and registration at least 30 days in advance is required for all instructional courses. Each class has no more than 4/8 participants in order to encourage participation and provide opportunities to personally interact with the instructor or lecturer. Faculty comes from the Tuscan community and is well versed in the region’s traditions.)

Alessandro was more than gracious and helpful, Daniele was delightful even though we could not really communicate too well, the apartment was lovely, the view spectacular, and the program really worked well. We feel we saw everything, and the program and people were flexible enough to meet our needs. We got to see numerous towns and villages, and also managed to squeeze in all three outlet centers in and around Florence. So we saw it all – the old and the new. –Susan and Eric K. Never in a million years would I have dreamed of the experience my wife and I had at Il Borgo. From the moment we arrived we experienced the beauty of Tuscany and the hospitality of the Italian people. This was highlighted by the special attention and care provide by Alessandro, the General Manager at Il Borgo. Every moment, every detail of the trip was thought out allowing us to fully enjoy our stay. It is over a month later and I have not come down from the “high” of the trip. I can’t think of any other way to experience Tuscany and I am constantly recommending it to my friends and family. ~~~
